The impeller’s spinning motion generates centrifugal force, pushing the water away from the center and creating a low-pressure area near the impeller. This pressure difference causes water to be drawn into the pump and pushed through the discharge outlet.

Positive displacement pumps trap a specific amount of fluid and then force it into the discharge pipe. They’re suitable for pumping viscous liquids and can provide a consistent flow regardless of pressure changes.

Submersible pumps are designed to be immersed in the fluid they’re pumping. They’re commonly used in applications such as groundwater supply, drainage, and sewage pumping. Submersible pumps are sealed to prevent water from entering the motor and are more efficient for deep wells.
